Turkish military destroys 17 targets of Kurdish militant group PKK, ministry says

Turkish air forces conducted air strikes in northern Iraq on Friday and destroyed 17 targets of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), Turkey's defence ministry said in a statement.
The operations were conducted in the Gara, Metina, Hakurk and Qandil regions of northern Iraq and many PKK militants were "neutralised", a term mostly used to mean killed, the statement said.
