Turkish air forces conducted air strikes in northern Iraq on Friday and destroyed 17 targets of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), Turkey's defence ministry said in a statement.
The operations were conducted in the Gara, Metina, Hakurk and Qandil regions of northern Iraq and many PKK militants were "neutralised", a term mostly used to mean killed, the statement said.
