The United States did not carry out air strikes overnight in Syria, the Pentagon said on Tuesday, in a dismissal of Syrian and Iranian state media reports that U.S. forces had bombed eastern Syria at dawn.
"We did not carry out air strikes in Syria last night," Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh told reporters in Washington.
