China's PLA Initiates Joint Drills Around Taiwan
China's military has commenced joint drills around Taiwan as reported by Chinese state media. The Eastern Theater Command of the PLA began these exercises early Thursday, spanning the Taiwan Strait and surrounding areas including Kinmen, Matsu, Wuqiu, and Dongyin.

China's military started joint drills surrounding Taiwan from early morning on Thursday, Chinese state media reported.
The Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) started joint military drills surrounding Taiwan from 7:45 a.m. (2345 GMT), Xinhua news reported.
The drills are being conducted in the Taiwan Strait, the north, south and east of Taiwan, as well as areas around the islands of Kinmen, Matsu, Wuqiu and Dongyin, the news agency reported.
