The Financial Times reported that the incident took place while Benjamin was traveling through the cartel-infested states of Sinaloa and Durango. The footage, posted on social media, purportedly shows Benjamin brandishing an assault rifle and pointing it at an embassy staffer seated in the back of a vehicle.
