Nine Naxalites Nabbed in Raids Across Chhattisgarh

Nine Naxalites were captured in operations conducted by the police and CRPF in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district. Eight were arrested in the Usoor region; one was apprehended in Naimed. These militia members were implicated in activities like planting IEDs and attacking security personnel.

In a coordinated operation across Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, nine Naxalites were apprehended, police sources announced on Sunday.

According to officials, eight suspects were arrested in the Usoor police station area, with another taken into custody under the Naimed police station limits.

'All the individuals detained were active militia members of the banned Maoist organization and were reportedly involved in planting IEDs targeting security forces, vandalizing roads, and disseminating propaganda through posters and banners,' stated a police communiqué.

The initiative in Usoor saw participation from the 196th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the 205th Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), and local police units, officials reported.

'Among those arrested in Usoor are Sona Kunjam (40), Anda Kadti (30), Mangu Madkam (24), Santosh Kadti (25), Sona Muchaki (22), Hadma Kadti (27), Suresh Madkam (28), and Devendra Muchaki (25),' detailed the statement. 'These individuals are suspected of multiple acts, including damaging the Usoor-Awapalli road last month and promoting Maoist messages through banners and pamphlets.'

Additionally, Avlam Aaytu (49) was taken into custody by the District Reserve Guard (DRG) in Naimed, and he is wanted in connection with an attack on police personnel.
