Terror Strikes Pilgrim Bus: Tragic Shooting in Jammu & Kashmir

Officials identified nine victims of a deadly terror attack on a pilgrim bus in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district. Ten people with gunshot wounds are among 41 pilgrims being treated. The bus, en route from Shiv Khori temple, was fired upon, causing it to fall into a gorge. All victims have been identified.

Authorities on Monday confirmed the identities of the nine victims of a grave terror attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district.

Among the deceased are four natives of Rajasthan, including a two-year-old boy, and three from Uttar Pradesh. Ten individuals with gunshot wounds are among the 41 pilgrims-- mostly from Uttar Pradesh--currently receiving medical treatment in three hospitals within the Jammu and Reasi districts, official sources confirmed.

Terrorists launched the assault on the bus carrying pilgrims on Sunday at approximately 6.10 pm, resulting in nine fatalities and multiple injuries. The 53-seater bus, navigating from the Shiv Khori temple to Katra, deviated off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near Teryath village due to the gunfire barrage.
