In a scathing attack on Tuesday, Delhi Water Minister Atishi accused the Haryana government of intentionally and illegally halting water supply to the nation's capital.

During a press conference, Atishi claimed that Haryana's reduced water release was preventing Delhi from meeting its daily water needs, pointing to an affidavit presented in the Supreme Court as evidence. According to the affidavit, Haryana reduced water supplies to Delhi from May 23, just ahead of the city's elections.

Atishi announced plans to address the issue with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and to present the affidavit's data before the Supreme Court. She also mentioned that Delhi's fast-response team is inspecting water distribution plants for leakages.
