UP CM Orders Probe into Tragic Hathras Stampede

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a judicial probe into the Hathras stampede that claimed 121 lives. Six of the deceased were from other states. Retired officials will assist in the inquiry to determine culpability and prevent future incidents, possibly through a new Standard Operating Procedure.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announced a judicial investigation into the tragic Hathras stampede that resulted in the deaths of 121 individuals.

Among the deceased, six were from other states, including four from Haryana, and one each from Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Adityanath stated that the probe would include retired administration and police officials to ensure a thorough investigation.

The inquiry aims to identify those responsible for the tragedy and determine if it was a result of a conspiracy.

The Chief Minister assured that the government would implement measures, such as a Standard Operating Procedure, to prevent such incidents in the future.
