Manipur's Commitment to Food Security Triumphs Amid Challenges

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh announced that over the past 14 months, the state has effectively prevented shortages of essential items despite challenges. Singh credited the cooperation of security personnel, the Food Corporation of India (FCI), railways, and central government leaders for ensuring food security, as evidenced by the recent train consignment of foodgrains to Khongsang railway station.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Saturday announced that his government has successfully prevented shortages of essential items over the past 14 months.

Singh made the statement during his visit to Khongsang railway station in Noney district to receive the inaugural consignment of foodgrains transported by train.

Despite various challenges, Singh attributed this achievement to the cooperation of security personnel, FCI, railways, and the commitment of central government leaders. He expressed gratitude towards key stakeholders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and noted the gradual return to normalcy in the region.
