Justice for Armstrong: A Community in Mourning

Vaddepalli Ramachander, a member of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, visited the family of slain Bahujan Samaj Party Tamil Nadu chief, K Armstrong. Armstrong was murdered by an armed gang on July 5. The police have arrested 11 suspects, and one prime suspect was killed by the police on July 14.

Vaddepalli Ramachander, a member of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, visited the family of the murdered Bahujan Samaj Party Tamil Nadu chief K Armstrong on Tuesday.

Armstrong was fatally attacked by an armed gang near his under-construction house on July 5. The assailants, who were on bikes, inflicted multiple cut injuries before fleeing the scene. Eleven suspects have been apprehended by the police in connection with the killing.

During a police operation on July 14, Thiruvengadam, a prime suspect in the murder, was shot dead by the authorities after he made an attempt to escape while being escorted to recover weapons.
