A Madhya Pradesh government employee was suspended on Thursday for demonstrating ''insensitivity'' towards an elderly farmer who protested alleged land grabbing by rolling on the floor of the Mandsaur district collectorate, an official said.

In a widely circulated video on social media, Rajesh Vijayawargiya, an assistant grade 3 employee, was seen walking past the rolling farmer, Shankarlal from Sakhtali village, without attempting to address his grievances.

Vijayawargiya neglected his duties by failing to stop the cultivator from rolling and not escorting him to the collector's meeting room, reflecting his ''insensitivity'' as a public servant, Mandsaur collector Dileep Kumar Yadav stated.
