Lokayukta Raids Uncover Disproportionate Assets of Karnataka Officials

In a major crackdown on corruption, Lokayukta sleuths raided the premises of 13 government officials, including two municipal commissioners, in Karnataka on Friday. The searches were conducted in connection with disproportionate assets cases.
One of the municipal commissioners involved is posted in a significant coastal town in the state. The raids covered various locations including Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Shimoga, Yadgiri, and Kalaburgi.
'Officials commenced the raid early this morning at 54 locations involving over 100 sleuths,' revealed a Lokayukta official. Departments implicated in the raids included Invest Karnataka Forum, Yadgir Zilla Panchayat, Veterinary Department, Hebbagodi in Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Labour Department, Commercial Taxes Department, Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board, Horticulture Department, Legal Metrology, and Bhadravati Gram Panchayat.
