Acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, Justice Manmohan, stressed the importance of using technology to enhance the legal system during an event on Friday. He was speaking at the inauguration of a pilot hybrid court featuring a speech-to-text facility for evidence recording and the launch of a digital court application designed for judicial officers to access all e-filed cases at the Tis Hazari district court.

Justice Manmohan highlighted that technology could play a crucial role in ensuring timely justice and reducing delays. He termed the speech-to-text facility as a potential 'game-changer' that could revolutionize evidence recording.

He also mentioned the challenges posed by technology being used to circumvent laws and emphasized the need to use technology correctly to address legal violations. He pointed out that this technology could solve the shortage of stenographers in the judiciary, making the legal process more efficient.

Expressing optimism about hybrid court facilities, Justice Manmohan acknowledged the efforts of the IT committee and financial constraints but reassured that development plans are progressing. Other speakers, including Justices Suresh Kumar Kait and Rajiv Shakder, also contributed to the discussions. The event concluded with addresses from Principal District and Sessions Judges Sanjay Garg and Vinod Kumar.
