A policeman named Surendra Bopche on Saturday saved the life of 16-year-old Vaibhav Asawle, who was swept away by a flooded nullah in Nagpur. The incident occurred in Ghogali area amidst heavy rains. The officer swam to the youth and brought him ashore using a rope. Meanwhile, the local Sonegaon police station was waterlogged.

A heroic act unfolded in Nagpur as Head Constable Surendra Bopche saved the life of 16-year-old Vaibhav Asawle, who was caught in a flooded nullah. The dramatic rescue took place in Ghogali area amidst continuous heavy rains on Saturday.

According to officials, Vaibhav was swept away by the strong current before police were alerted to the emergency. Without hesitation, Bopche swam through the turbulent waters and, with the aid of a rope, managed to bring the drowning youth safely ashore.

Elsewhere in the city, the relentless downpour caused significant disruption. The Sonegaon police station ended up waterlogged, forcing the staff to adapt by perching on tables as they continued their duties.
