Execution-Style Killing and Arrests in Manipur: Disturbing Developments

RK Prithibi Singh was shot dead in Imphal East district, Manipur. The proscribed outfit KCP (Progressive) claimed responsibility, accusing Singh of spying for security forces. Singh was allegedly a former militant. Meanwhile, another militant from KCP (Taibanganba) was arrested for extortion activities.

In a shocking incident, RK Prithibi Singh was shot dead in Manipur's Imphal East district, police reported on Sunday.

The incident occurred in Tekcham within the Lamlain police station jurisdiction on Saturday. Singh, found blindfolded with his hands tied, was shot at point-blank range.

The proscribed group KCP (Progressive) claimed responsibility, alleging Singh, a former militant, was spying for security forces. Concurrently, police arrested Ningthoujam Ashakumar Meetei, a member of KCP (Taibanganba), involved in extortion activities from Tejpur Makha Leikai in Kakching district.
