Russia's air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed eight drones launched by Ukraine overnight, according to a statement from the Russian defense ministry on Sunday.
The ministry revealed that three of the drones were neutralized over the Belgorod region, an area that shares a border with Ukraine.
Another trio of drones was intercepted while flying over the Black Sea, as detailed in the ministry's Telegram messaging app announcement.
