Twelve rescue personnel from India joined Nepali security forces on Sunday in the search for missing passengers from two buses swept away by a landslide into a swollen river in Nepal.

The Indian NDRF team reached Chitwan, Bagmati province on Saturday following Nepal's request for assistance. Seven Indian nationals were on one of the affected buses, with three bodies recovered so far.

Following a landslide on July 12, buses carrying 65 passengers were swept into the Trishuli River. The Indian team, followed by local authorities, recovered 24 bodies while the search continues for other victims.
