The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) successfully rescued 58 individuals stranded on a river island in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district Tuesday evening.

The incident took place near Kutora village, about 90 km from the district headquarters, while visitors were at the Narsingh temple on the island, according to an official statement.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Prashant Agrawal explained that a sudden surge of water left the visitors trapped. A swift rescue operation commenced, and by 8 PM, all individuals were safely evacuated.
