Sindisiwe Chikunga and SETAs Donate R6M in Infrastructure to KZN School

The donation will include mobile classrooms, desktops, assistive devices, digital boards, and wheelchairs to improve both teaching and learning conditions at the school.

Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities, Sindisiwe Chikunga, is leading an initiative to donate R6 million worth of infrastructure to Mason Lincoln Special School in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal. This donation, made possible through a collaboration between various Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs), is set to significantly enhance the school's facilities and support over 400 learners.

The donation will include mobile classrooms, desktops, assistive devices, digital boards, and wheelchairs to improve both teaching and learning conditions at the school. In addition to these infrastructure upgrades, the project will offer skills development opportunities specifically tailored for persons and learners with disabilities.

Chikunga will be joined by representatives from the Health and Welfare SETA, FoodBev Manufacturing SETA, Insurance SETA, Services SETA, and Mining Qualifications Authority in this collaborative effort. The initiative underscores a commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and supporting individuals with disabilities through improved resources and skills development.
