Nagpur Protest Leads to Arrests Over Traffic Concerns
The NCP (SP) Nagpur city unit chief, Duneshwar Pethe, and 11 others were arrested for protesting without permission. They demanded better traffic management at Jaibhim Chowk following a fatal accident. Police have charged them with unlawful assembly and related offenses.

The NCP (SP) Nagpur city unit chief, Duneshwar Pethe, along with 11 others, was arrested on Thursday for holding an unauthorized protest, a police official confirmed.
The protest took place at Jaibhim Chowk in Wardhaman Nagar to address traffic issues, a day after a woman died in an accident at the location.
"Pethe and others blocked the road without permission, leading to their arrests by the Nandanvan police," stated Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijaykant Sagar to PTI. They are facing charges of unlawful assembly and additional offenses, Sagar added.
