Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has made a fervent appeal to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to facilitate the return of over 24 state residents who were reportedly 'forced' into working at call centers in Myanmar. The group, comprising more than 15 men and nine women, is allegedly held against their will.
In a phone conversation with Jaishankar on Thursday, Dhami highlighted the urgent need for intervention to expedite their safe return, pointing out that the families of these individuals are experiencing significant distress and mental agony.
Chief Minister Dhami urged the External Affairs Minister to take swift action to ensure the prompt and safe repatriation of all affected individuals from Myanmar.
