Tragic Collision: Two Killed, Three Injured in Late Night Accident

Two men were killed and three others injured when their car rammed into a truck near Jhalawar road in Raanpur. The truck driver allegedly applied brakes suddenly, causing the accident. The driver then reversed his vehicle, trapping the deceased, and fled the scene, police are investigating.

Two men lost their lives and three others sustained injuries when their car crashed into a truck near Jhalawar road in Raanpur early Saturday, according to police reports.

The incident occurred at about 1:30 AM while the group of five friends were returning from a roadside eatery on Bundi road, Raanpur Station House Officer (SHO) Bhanwar Singh confirmed. The two deceased, identified as Dhiraj Singh from Atru in Baran district and Arbaj Khan from Bombay Yojana in Kota, were both 22 years old. Among the survivors, one individual has been critically injured and is receiving medical treatment at a private hospital.

According to the police, the accident was caused when the truck driver allegedly applied brakes suddenly, forcing the car to run into the truck. The driver then reversed, crushing the car's front and trapping the two deceased before fleeing the scene. Efforts to apprehend the driver are ongoing, the officer added.
