The Delhi High Court is likely to pass an order later today on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest by the CBI and seeking bail in the alleged excise policy scam case.
Justice Neena Bansal Krishna indicated that the verdict could be announced at 2:30 pm. The high court had reserved its order on July 17 after hearing both sides' arguments.
Kejriwal's counsel argued that his arrest was an 'insurance arrest' to keep him confined, while the CBI opposed this, citing evidence of his involvement in the scam. The chief minister, currently in judicial custody, has been entangled in multiple legal battles connected to the case.
