West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose on Monday reaffirmed the security of India's border with Bangladesh amidst ongoing turmoil in the latter country, urging citizens to ignore any circulating rumours.

In his statement, Governor Bose announced the formation of a 'watchdog panel' available round the clock to clarify any disinformation.

The Governor emphasized the nation's commitment to securing its borders, stating that the Border Security Force has issued a high alert along the 4,096-km border with Bangladesh.
