Capital Superintendent of Police Rohit Rajbir Singh announced that the operation, launched on Friday, detected violators in Ganga village, Chimpu, and Ganga market area. Following due process, the violators were externed from Hollongi and Gumto check gates.

The Superintendent vowed that ILP checks would be intensified in the coming days and urged public cooperation to curb illegal immigration, encouraging citizens to report any instances of ILP violations to the authorities.

An ILP is mandatory for Indian nationals to enter Arunachal Pradesh. The permit for temporary visitors lasts 15 days and is extendable, while employment-related permits for individuals and their families last a year.
