Russian Forces Strike Odesa Port Infrastructure, Injuring Two
Russian forces targeted port infrastructure in Odesa, Ukraine, causing injuries to a port employee and a grain carrier driver. A ballistic missile was used in the strike, which is part of ongoing attacks by Russia on Ukrainian ports since exiting a U.N.-brokered grain shipment deal last summer.
Russian forces launched a strike on the port infrastructure in Odesa, Ukraine, on Wednesday evening, resulting in injuries to at least two individuals, according to Ukrainian officials.
Among the injured were a port employee and a grain carrier driver. The Prosecutor's General Office confirmed the injuries on Telegram, while regional governor Oleh Kiper stated that a ballistic missile was used in the attack.
Odesa's port infrastructure has faced recurrent assaults from Russian forces since last summer, when Russia withdrew from a U.N.-brokered agreement that ensured the safe passage of Ukrainian grain shipments. Since then, Kyiv has established its own maritime corridor for these shipments.
