Bust in Nurpur: Police Seize 300 Bottles of Illicit Liquor
Nurpur Police seized 300 bottles of country-made liquor from a vehicle and arrested two involved in smuggling. NURPUR: In a significant crackdown, Nurpur Police have seized 300 bottles of country-made liquor. Two individuals involved in the smuggling operation have been taken into custody.
During a routine check at Muqaam Dehri Chowk, a Tata Tiago carrying these bottles was intercepted. The illicit liquor was concealed within 25 boxes.
Identified as Mukesh Kumar alias Billa and Des Raj, both residents of Chhatar Tehsil in Fatehpur, the accused now face charges under the Himachal Pradesh Excise Act. Superintendent of Police, Ashok Ratan, emphasized that this bust is part of a broader campaign against the illegal drug trade in the region.
