Tragic Incident: Man Jumps into Yamuna River

A 29-year-old man named Deepak Chauhan committed suicide by jumping into the Yamuna river from Okhla Barrage. Despite efforts from his sister and brother-in-law to stop him, he proceeded with the act. The police recovered his body on Thursday and are investigating the reasons behind the alleged suicide.

A 29-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the Yamuna river from Okhla Barrage, the authorities disclosed on Friday.

The individual, identified as Deepak Chauhan from Delhi's Ali village, took the drastic step on Wednesday, in full view of his sister and brother-in-law. The family members attempted to dissuade him, but Chauhan was determined, informed Sector-126 station in-charge Bhupendra Baliyan.

The body was retrieved from the river with the help of divers on Thursday. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact motive behind the suicide.
