In a shocking incident, a cab driver was allegedly assaulted by a policeman with a fibre stick outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in South Mumbai, an official confirmed on Friday.

The incident, which resulted in the injury of the cab driver and subsequent suspension of the policeman, took place in the early hours of Thursday near a traffic signal just outside Mumbai CSMT station. The victim, identified as 22-year-old Maroof Ahmed Khan of Shivaji Nagar, was reportedly waiting for passengers in his parked cab.
