Juvenile Sexual Abuse Case Shocks Pune

Pune police have booked four minors, including a girl, for allegedly sexually abusing their 13-year-old female friend. The juveniles are mutual friends of the victim and the girl was sexually assaulted twice. Two of the boys have been detained and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.

Pune police have charged four minors, including a girl, in a shocking case of sexual abuse involving their 13-year-old female friend, a police official reported on Wednesday. The group of juveniles are mutual friends of the victim, who was subjected to sexual abuse on two separate occasions.

According to the police, in the first incident, a male juvenile allegedly forced himself on the victim, despite knowing she was a minor. In the second incident, the accused girl reportedly took the victim to one of the boys' houses, where another minor sexually abused her while a third juvenile filmed the assault on his phone.

The police have registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 376 (rape) and 363 (kidnapping), as well as under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Two of the accused boys have been detained and presented before the Juvenile Justice Board.
