In a recent appeal, the Himachal Pradesh contractual employees' association called on the state government to initiate the regularisation process for employees who finish a two-year contract period by September 2024.
According to Kameshwar Sharma, president of the Himachal Pradesh Sarv Anubandh Karamchari Mahasangh, the state previously regularised contractual employees biannually. A new notification mandates that only employees who complete their contract by March 31, 2024, will be regularised in the next financial year, causing delays.
Sharma emphasized that this change will lead to financial and seniority losses, especially for those joining after March. The association hopes the government will address their concerns and protect the employees' interests.
