Speaker Biswajit Daimary's dismissal of these motions prompted Congress, AIUDF, CPI(M), and Raijor Dal members to storm the Well of the House with placards, demanding attention to various issues.

Chief concerns included the high charges of smart meters, property rights, and a deteriorating law and order situation. The Speaker deemed these issues suitable for discussion through other means, sparking opposition protests and a temporary walkout.
