Government employees lauded the decision to grant assured pensions and expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for addressing their concerns.
Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary of the Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM), highlighted the significance of their meeting with the Prime Minister, marking the first such instance for JCM.
Following the cabinet's approval, the new Unified Pension Scheme will guarantee 50% of the last salary as pension for 23 lakh employees who joined service post-2004, enhancing financial security and stability.
