Senior police and CRPF officers on Monday conducted a detailed review of the security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir's Chenab valley districts, focusing on the upcoming assembly elections.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Law and Order, Vijay Kumar, ADG CRPF J&K Zone, Rajesh Kumar, and ADGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, visited Ramban, Kishtwar, and Doda districts. They reviewed recent developments and evolving threat perceptions, particularly recent terror activities.
ADGP Vijay Kumar emphasized the need for peace, proactive vigilance, and robust coordination between security agencies. He also stressed community engagement and public outreach to ensure free and fair elections. ADG CRPF Rajesh Kumar highlighted operational readiness and regular mock drills, while ADGP Jain called for additional force mobilization and effective intelligence sharing.
