Ukraine Urges Stronger Action Against Iran and Expanded Military Support
The Ukrainian president's chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, called for expanded sanctions on Iran for supplying ballistic missiles to Russia and requested permission for Kyiv to strike deep into Russia using Western weapons. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced upcoming sanctions on Iran in response to these developments.
Ukraine's chief of staff for the president demanded stricter sanctions on Iran for providing ballistic missiles to Moscow, urging Western allies to permit strikes into Russia using advanced weaponry.
'We also need permission to use Western weapons against military targets on the territory of the Russian Federation,' stated Andriy Yermak on Telegram, pushing for longer-range missiles and boosted air defenses.
The United States is set to impose fresh sanctions on Iran, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in London, following Iran's missile shipments to Russia intended for use in Ukraine.
