Authorities received at least four tips about Ryan Routh’s actions before he allegedly attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump. Despite warnings to agencies like the FBI and State Department, little seems to have been done to scrutinize him further.
Nurse Chelsea Walsh reported Routh’s violent behavior and specific plotting to assassinate President Putin in 2022, but never received a follow-up. She expresses frustration over authorities' inaction, stating, “They dropped the ball.”
With other complaints also ignored, questions are rising about whether federal agencies are equipped to handle increasing threats adequately.
