Justice Shamim Ahmed Sworn-In as Judge of Madras High Court

Justice Shamim Ahmed has been sworn in as a judge of the Madras High Court, bringing the total number of judges to 67. The Chief Justice K R Shriram administered the oath, and Ahmed was transferred from the Allahabad High Court. Advocate General P S Raman and other dignitaries welcomed him.

Justice Shamim Ahmed was sworn in as a judge of the Madras High Court on Monday, increasing the number of judges in the HC to 67.

Chief Justice K R Shriram administered the oath of office to Justice Ahmed during a simple ceremony at the HC premises.

Justice Ahmed, who was transferred from the Allahabad High Court, expressed gratitude to the bench and bar in his reply.
