Over 600 individuals sought shelter in a monastery near the Israel-Lebanon border on Tuesday following an urgent military advisory from Israel, residents reported.
The Israeli military instructed residents of Ain Ebl and at least 20 other villages to evacuate immediately. The military claimed Hezbollah was using homes in these areas.
The evacuees relocated to a monastery in Rmeish, which had not received the advisory. They awaited an army escort to Beirut, they told Reuters.
