Mumbai EOW Inspector Nabbed for Bribe
Inspector Mahendra Sawardekar of Mumbai Police's EOW was arrested for allegedly accepting a Rs 2 lakh bribe from a Tamil Nadu investor. The investor, who had invested in Bliss Investment, was called to Mumbai to submit documents. Unwilling to pay, he reported to the ACB.

An inspector from Mumbai police's Economic Offences Wing, Mahendra Sawardekar, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for allegedly accepting a Rs 2 lakh bribe.
The incident involved a Tamil Nadu-based investor who had put Rs 49.44 lakh into Bliss Investment, a firm accused of multiple frauds. The EOW was investigating the case.
Sawardekar allegedly demanded a 10% bribe from the investor, who instead reported him to the ACB. The bureau set a trap and arrested the officer at his office while accepting the bribe.
