EU Leaders Tackle Migration with Innovative Solutions

On Tuesday, leaders from Slovakia, Hungary, and Serbia will convene to discuss measures against illegal migration and methods to protect EU borders. Proposed solutions include the potential creation of external centers, or 'hotspots,' for asylum applications, similar to Italy's collaboration with Albania.

Leaders from Slovakia, Hungary, and Serbia are set to meet on Tuesday, aiming to address illegal migration and enhance the protection of the European Union's borders.

The Slovak government has suggested exploring innovative solutions, one of which includes establishing external centers, referred to as 'hotspots,' for handling asylum applications outside the EU.

This concept is already being trialed by Italy, in a cooperative effort with Albania, to manage the flow of asylum seekers more efficiently and securely.
