The blast occurred near a house owned by Okram Haridas in the area under Lamshang police station jurisdiction. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the cause remains under investigation.

Security forces rapidly deployed to the site, evacuating locals to safer areas. While some villagers speculated that a drone triggered the explosion, confirmation is still pending. Kadangband, near Kangpokpi district, has faced multiple attacks since ethnic conflicts began last May.
