Ukraine's security service (SBU) announced the arrest of a senior official within its anti-terrorist centre on espionage charges for allegedly collaborating with Russia. This incident underscores ongoing security threats posed by espionage activities.

The individual, whose name has not been disclosed, was reportedly working with Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB). Utilizing encrypted methods, the SBU intercepted communications from the official, collecting substantial evidence of clandestine information exchanges.

Since the start of Russia's large-scale invasion nearly three years ago, Ukraine has intensified efforts against Moscow's operatives. Notably, these spies have allegedly engaged in sabotage and are believed to be facilitating disruptions in Ukraine's military mobilization.
