In a significant humanitarian effort, Singapore has dispatched its seventh round of aid to Gaza through Jordan, as announced by the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). Senior Minister of State for Defence Zaqy Mohamad was present in Amman to oversee the delivery, organized in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO).

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) facilitated the transport of nine tonnes of essential supplies, including medical, food, and hygiene items, coordinated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and other local charities. The Singapore Armed Forces' (SAF) Changi Regional Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Coordination Centre spearheaded efforts to consolidate and coordinate this crucial assistance.

This initiative is in response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis following the latest Israel-Hamas conflict. With a total value exceeding USD14 million across seven tranches, Singapore's aid reflects a commitment to international relief efforts, emphasized by Foreign Minister Dr Vivan Balakrishnan's remarks on the importance of global compassion and support.
