Lokpal's Impact: Over 2,400 Corruption Complaints Addressed

The Lokpal, since its establishment in 2014, has addressed over 2,400 corruption complaints, with 2,350 resolved. It operates under the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, 2013. The agency comprises a chairperson and six members, half of whom are judicial, as required by the Act.

The Lokpal has processed and registered 2,426 corruption complaints, demonstrating its ongoing fight against corruption, according to a statement made in the Rajya Sabha.

Since its inception on January 16, 2014, under the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, the institution has become a prominent force in addressing corruption-related issues, disposing of most of the complaints filed.

Currently, the Lokpal comprises a chairperson and six members, including three judicial members, maintaining compliance with the Act's stipulation for a judicial-integrated body.
