The police have issued a notice to BRS MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy after a raid on his farmhouse in Moinabad exposed an illegal cockfight event. Authorities allege that the legislator allowed his property to be used for organizing the cockfights, which also involved betting activities.

The notice demands that Reddy submit any pertinent documents that might clarify his involvement or whether he sanctioned the use of the farmhouse for the event. The police have warned that failure to comply within four days will lead to resolving the case based on available evidence.

During the February 11 raid, police apprehended 64 individuals allegedly partaking in the cockfight. They confiscated cockfight knives, betting paraphernalia, 55 vehicles, and Rs 30.59 lakh in cash. Cases under the Gaming Act and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act have been registered, with further investigations underway.
