Zelenskiy Pushes Back Against U.S.-Russia Talks on Ukraine's Future

In a strong statement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has dismissed the upcoming U.S.-Russia talks on the war in Ukraine, emphasizing that Kyiv must be part of any discussions shaping its future.

His remarks coincide with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio's visit to Saudi Arabia for high-stakes negotiations, which have raised concerns in Ukraine about being excluded from a potential peace process. "Ukraine will not take part. Ukraine did not know anything about it," Zelenskiy asserted from the United Arab Emirates.

The Kremlin confirmed sending top officials to Riyadh, aiming to prepare for a meeting between U.S. and Russian leaders, while Zelenskiy stressed the need for stronger American security guarantees and an understanding of Ukraine's value beyond raw resource provision.
