Authorities in Beed district have begun an investigation after local BJP leader Satish Bhosale received a threat allegedly connected to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The warning, issued from a social media account believed to be fake, was related to accusations of deer poaching against Bhosale.
Bhosale, known locally as 'Khokya', is under scrutiny for allegedly hunting deer. A Facebook message demanded his arrest, citing reverence for the deer. The account responsible for the threat is being investigated by the police to confirm its legitimacy.
Despite the seriousness of the allegations, no official First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged. In a related development, the local forest department is actively investigating Bhosale for possible poaching activities, having already conducted searches in the area.
