In a bid to enhance national security and ensure legal compliance, Delhi Police has rolled out new guidelines for property owners renting to foreign nationals, according to an official statement on Monday.

The directive mandates that property owners report the presence of foreign guests to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) within a 24-hour timeframe after their arrival. Additionally, they are required to submit tenant details for background checks at the local police station.

Property owners must maintain a register using Form 'B' format, accessible for inspections, and file Form 'C', online or offline, to notify the FRRO. Non-compliance could attract legal consequences as per the Foreigners Act and its 2016 amendments.
