Jammu and Kashmir Police made significant strides on Tuesday, arresting four alleged drug peddlers in separate operations and confiscating illegal substances and cash from their possession, an official confirmed.

In a decisive move in Pampore, Pulwama district, authorities intercepted a vehicle at a checkpoint, detaining three men—Nazir Ahmad Wani, Mukhtar Ahmad Mir, and Javid Ahmad Kawa—after discovering 290 grams of charas-like substance and Rs 97,500 in cash. Their vehicle was seized, and they were charged under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, a police spokesperson detailed.

Simultaneously, in Kupwara district, law enforcement apprehended Muneer Ahmad Lone during a routine check at Khazan Mati, Kralpora village, seizing a cannabis-like substance. This operation showcases the persistent efforts of the police to combat drug trafficking in the region.
