Police have ramped up their pursuit of Krishna Andhale, an accused individual in the high-profile murder case of sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh from Massajog village. The search efforts intensified after a Nashik-based lawyer claimed to have seen Andhale on a motorcycle in the city.

Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from Gangapur Road to track the movements of the suspect. The reported sighting occurred near a Sahdev Nagar temple, wherein lawyer Gitesh Bankar identified Andhale by his distinctive forehead tilak despite the mask he wore.

Santosh Deshmukh was brutally murdered last year after opposing an attempted extortion of an energy company running a windmill project in Beed district. This recent sighting could lead to a significant breakthrough in the case.
